In 2026, the AfrikaFestival Tübingen marks 25 Editions of celebrating African culture, contribution and excellence in Germany. To honor this milestone, we proudly introduce the Afrika Festival Tübingen Academy (AFTA)
AFTA 2026 marks the historic launch of the Afrikafestival Tübingen Academy – a living institution dedicated to African cultural knowledge, community-based learning, and post-colonial dialogue.
The 2026 edition honors long-term volunteers as the Founding Cohort, recognising decades of lived learning gained through service to Afrika Festival Tübingen.
To focus on this new chapter, we are hereby offering AFT Partnership Package with opportunities in diverse sectors.

After more than 25 edition of cultural showcase, Afrika Festival Tübingen (AFTÜ) takes a decisive step from being only an event to becoming an institution of learning, memory, and leadership
We are proudly annoucing the Graduation ceremony of AfrikaFestivalTübingen Academia – “The Founding Cohort”. Our first graduates consists of volunteers who have served Afrika Festival Tübingen over many years, many of them having grown up with the festival from childhood into adulthood.
Through Volunteerism, they acquired deep competencies in: African cultural knowledge and responsibility, Learning-by-doing in real-life cultural spaces
