SSMR – Slabbert Steve Mzuvukile Radebe was a key figure in the South African liberation movement, known for his unifying approach and action oriented leadership.
He served as a lecturer at the University of Cape Town (African Languages Dept), where he championed the recognition and preservation of African culture and identity within a historically discriminatory institution.
Through his mentorship, he inspired students to see education as a powerful tool for empowerment and liberation.
