AFRICA KNOWS ! “There is no community without culture” Wear the Culture. Wear the Message.
– Dr. Susan Tatah
The AFRICA KNOWS Collection is a bold cultural statement created to celebrate the 25th Edition of AfrikaFestival Tübingen. This limited-edition release represents identity, unity, and the power of African culture across generations and continents. Each piece carries a message that defines us: “No Community Without Culture.”
AfrikaFestival Tübingen journey has not been without obstacles; heavy rains, storms, funding limitations, communication hurdles, and volunteer coordination challenges. Yet, each difficulty has brought the festival community closer together
The festival has not only groomed us; it has molded our vision and put it to the test – humanity is everything we have.
It is here that every pillar of our work; advocacy, mentorship, volunteerism, leadership, media, cultural education, and community engagement, has been experienced, tested, and strengthened in real time.
AfrikaFestival Tübingen, Germany is proof that vision, when lived consistently, becomes impact. The Festival is where Africans and Africa interested meet, connect and share – transforming ideas and theory into action. Here culture knows no color, religion, status, bad weather nor country of origin.
As African community in Germany, We are not just considered or described as migrant seeking greener pastures – we are contributors and leaders in redefining and offering spaces for cultural dialogue, learning and sharing.
Founded in 2007, the Afrika Festival Tübingen is the first project of The Africa We Want e.V. Germany. Now celebrating over 25 editions, the festival is more than an event, thanks to the Festival our work has been put on the global platform- elevating us as thought leaders and influential personalities in the development of Africa and its Diaspora.
As initiator and founder – today, my voice and opinion matters, we are recognized and invited to speak on exclusive platforms by prominent leaders of Africa.
